A snail can sleep up to three years.

Snails need moisture to survive; so if the weather is not cooperating, they can actually sleep up to three years. It has been reported that depending on geography, snails can shift into hibernation (which occurs in the winter), or estivation (also known as 'summer sleep'), helping to escape warm climates.

Butterflies taste with their feet.

Butterflies taste food with their feet. Butterflies have taste sensors on their feet and by standing on a leaf, they can taste it to see if their caterpillars can eat it. The flying insects mainly consume liquids like nectar or juice from fruits, and sometimes even fluids from carcasses.

Most lipsticks contain fish scales.

Lipstick contains fish scales. The ingredient under discussion is called pearl essence. (Some sources give this as "pearlescence.") It's the silvery stuff found in fish scales that's used in some lipsticks, nail polishes, ceramic glazes, etc., to make them shimmery. Pearl essence is obtained primarily from herring and is one of many by-products of large-scale commercial fish processing.

Spaceship Neptune - A tour to space on a hot air balloon

For a mere $125,000, you, too, can purchase a trip to ascend some 20 miles into Earth's upper atmosphere onboard a luxury space balloon.   Space Perspective, a human space flight company in Florida, on Wednesday began selling tickets for its inaugural voyage way high into the sky at $125,000 a pop. The trip is scheduled for late 2024 aboard the Spaceship Neptune, a hot air balloon-style craft lifted by hydrogen. Anyone interested in the trip must pay a $1,000 deposit.     The company said it plans to send eight passengers on a "leisurely" ascension into space from a launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, an excursion in which they will reportedly travel up to 20 miles above the Earth's surface for a "profoundly life-changing" experience.

May this Holi be filled with fun, joy and love.  Happy Holi 2022! Holi, the festival of colours is finally here and people are rejoicing with the arrival of this festival. This year,  Holi will be celebrated on March 18. Holi is a very popular festival in India and is celebrated in all states of the country.  People throw coloured powder on each other and throw coloured water on each other via ‘pichkaris’ or buckets. The whole affair is very enjoyable and warm, as people dance to the tunes of breezy songs, play with colours and also drink thandai! Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil. People also distribute sweets and gifts to their loved ones on this precious occasion.  People dress up in white to celebrate Holi and play with colours. Many families also arrange a puja at their home to pray for prosperity, wealth, good health and luck.
