Acrophobia is a mental health condition in which the individual experiences an intense fear of heights . It is a type of anxiety disorder.  

Achluophobia is the fear of the dark . 'Achulo' is the Greek for darkness and 'phobia' means fear.  

The figure-eight shaped curve referred commonly by the name "infinity symbol" can also be called as a lemniscate .  

The hashtag (pound sign) has a much more official-sounding name, octothorpe . "Octo" refers to the eight points, while the origin of "thorpe" is still up for debate.  

The division sign that we use is technically called an obelus .  

The line on the tablets is called Debossed line . It is usually found in high dose tablets. It helps to break the tablet in half to consume only half dose of it.

The stringy bits on a banana are called Phloem Bundles .

The small round knob that you use to set time on your watch is called a Crown .

The loop on the back of your shirt is called Locker Loop . This is used to hang your shirt to prevent wrinkles.  

The plastic thing at the end of the shoelace is called Aglets .  

The divot on the bottom of a wine bottle is called Punt . It's meant to keep the bottle upright.
